Dubai International Airport inter-terminal shuttle bus

Passengers who wish to travel from one Terminal to another fast can try a transfer via shuttle bus from Dubai Airport. The service does not require any payments and is available 24/7. You can use a shuttle to transfer from the 1st to the 3d Terminal in DXB and vice versa. Be aware that the route does not include the 2nd Terminal since the service is unavailable there.

The shuttles arrive every 20 minutes, and it usually takes no more than 5-10 minutes for them to transfer passengers from one place to another. Here is where you can board the bus:

In the T1, head to the area between the Departures and Arrivals on the Upper level;
In the T3, find a stop near entrance 3 in the Departures on the Upper Level.

Dubai bus station near the airport

At Dubai Airport, a bus station is possible to find in every Terminal (1, 2, and 3). There are nearly 79 routes that include DXB, and all of them are a part of the Roads & Transport Authority. Before boarding, obtain a Nol Card - a smart card you can use in various transport modes from RTA. Paying fares with cash is impossible on their buses. Buy the Nol Card at the ticket machines at the DXB or metro stations. Below you can find detailed information about the routes from the airport to some particular destinations.

Bus from Dubai International Airport to Abu Dhabi Airport

Board a bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi Airport at the Terminal 3 of DXB. The journey usually takes less than 4 hours if we include the time spent on transfers. Here are the destinations in Abu Dhabi which you can reach by bus from DXB:

Al Ghubaiba Bus Station 9;
Abu Dhabi Bus Station;
Men’s College (via Gold Souq Station External).

Buses from DXB Airport to the city centre

Express routes

The transportation service provides an Express Bus from Dubai Airport Terminal 2 to the Al Qusais Bus Station (it is in the city centre). The road usually takes no more than half an hour. The bus is labelled as 13B, and its route includes the stops below:

Traffic Police 2;
Abu Hail Center 2;
Hamriya Shopping Center 2;
Abu Hail, Clinic 2;
Hor Al anz Turnoff 2;
Burj Nahar Intersection;
Naif Intersection 2 to Sabkha.

The express buses usually run from 5:30 to 1:00 am.

Feeder routes

The feeder bus at Dubai Airport departs from Terminal 2 and transfers passengers to different locations depending on the route. There are 3 of them in total:

Line F27

Choose it if you need to travel from DXB and DAFZA to the Al Nahda Metro Station.

Line F04

The route allows you to reach the Deira City Center Bus Station via Union MS from the 2nd Terminal.

Line F55

It connects the Dubai Airport with Ibn Battuta Metro Station during working hours. When Ibn Battuta station shuts down, you can use the F55 route to arrive at the Satwa Bus Station.

Local bus routes

The departure and arrival areas for local buses are outside the Terminals of DXB. There are two routes available:

Route 31

It connects the 2nd Terminal of Dubai Airport with Oud al Mateena.

Route 42

Allows you to arrive at the Gold Souq Bus Station from the 2nd Terminal of DXB.

Mind that you need to obtain the Nol Card to pay the fare on a local bus since using cash is impossible. One ride costs AED 5.00 ($1.36).
