Tax refund at Dubai International Airport

While visiting the United Arab Emirates you can take advantage of tax-free shopping. The monetary compensation is called VAT. Several conditions should be fulfilled to get the paid tax back.

A buyer must be a participant in the VAT program.
The allowable amount of Dubai Airport tax refund is AED 7000 ($1900) per person.

Before checking luggage, you need to validate the product items you have bought in Dubai/the UAE. There are 3 terminals across DXB where you can do it. If it is a first or business class, you need to go to the counter desk with the sign “Planet Payment’ on it. It is located not far from the luggage assembly desk. In case you have chosen an economy class service in an airline, look for the VAT refund service between T3 Airside and the APM platform.

Tell a shop assistant that you would like to purchase goods on the program of tax compensation.
